Prof. Dr. Lydia Bals was ranked 14th among the top 20 “most productive authors” worldwide in the international research ranking for the topic of reshoring in the Journal of Business Research.
Mainz University of Applied Sciences was also ranked 19th among the “most prolific institutions” worldwide thanks to her research.
Professor Bals has been building up the research field of reshoring since 2014, following her “return from the corporate world”.
Since then, she has been focusing on issues relating to decision-making processes, influencing factors, and sustainability aspects of the reshoring of value creation processes.
