Mainz, June 7, 2024 - The Mainz Digital Congress MADKON has become a fixture in the state capital city of Mainz and its 7th edition (MADKON24 #beyondcoding) offered exciting insights into the future of software development. A total of around 200 representatives from the worlds of politics, business, and academia took the opportunity to share their expertise. Around 130 people attended the event in the LUX Pavilion at Mainz University of Applied Sciences; a further 80 participants took part virtually over the live stream.
The event was kicked off with words of welcome from prominent figures. Alexander Schweitzer, Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, Transformation and Digitalization of Rhineland-Palatinate, underlined the importance of MADKON24 for the region and the entire industry: “We need to pick up the pace of digitalization. In particular, we cannot ignore the role of civil society.”
A particular highlight was the live link-up with John Rymer as an interview partner from Morrison, Colorado in the USA, who coined the term low-code during his time as Vice President and Chief Analyst at Forrester Research and provided valuable insights into current trends and developments. The presentations covered a wide range of topics from low-code/no-code techniques to the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in software development. The speakers, including representatives from well-known companies such as ProSiebenSat.1, SAP, and Datagroup, offered practical tips and visionary ideas.
Several interactive workshops were held parallel to the presentations. Here, participants were able to try out new techniques and methods in a hands-on way and apply them directly, which led to animated discussions and a lively exchange of ideas. The workshops covered topics such as rapid prototyping and artificial intelligence in companies and public authorities.
Overall, MADKON24 provided a platform for exchanging knowledge and experience and for networking among software development experts. Participants had the opportunity to find out about the latest trends and technologies and make valuable contacts. The feedback from participants was also consistently positive. MADKON24 has established itself as an important forum for discussing future developments and challenges in the field of digitalization.
