The Mainz Digital Congress MADKON is now in its fifth year. After successful congresses in 2018 (#cybersecurity), 2019 (#digitalcrew), 2020 (#digitaleintelligenz), and 2021 (#digitalenachhaltigkeit), you can expect exciting presentations and projects about digital reality this year!
The first MADKON (#cybersecurity) was dedicated to the topic of IT security and took place on September 21 and 22, 2018 at the Electoral Palace in Mainz. The event focused on pointing out risks, allaying fears, and providing motivation to take action, along with the necessary skills. Companies and private individuals were intended to gain an overview of the dangers lurking in cybercrime and how they can counter them.
MADKON 2019 (#digitalcrew) took place on October 25 and 26, 2019, at the LUX Pavilion of Mainz University of Applied Sciences, the Electoral Palace, and the Gutenberg Digital Hub. The first day of the event addressed entrepreneurs and companies with a view toward digital competence of employees and agile further development. The second day of the event was dedicated to teachers, students, and schools from Mainz and the surrounding area, with a focus on the Digital Pact for Schools and the digital situation of Mainz schools.
The MADKON2020 (#digitaleintelligenz) took place on October 30, 2020 in hybrid mode at the LUX Pavilion of Mainz University of Applied Sciences and online via live stream. The event focused on digital (artificial) intelligence, in particular topics such as smart city, smart society, deep learning, and the use of AI systems in the digital economy.
MADKON2021 (#digitalenachhaltigkeit) also took place in hybrid mode on October 29, 2021, at the LUX Pavilion of Mainz University of Applied Sciences and online via live stream. The event focused on digital sustainability, in particular topics such as energy transition through e-mobility, green software, sustainable design decisions, and the use of environmental and social criteria to assess sustainability in the digital economy.
On 11/04/2022, another fascinating topic awaits the participants: digital reality!
Digitalization is increasingly merging the analog world with digital reality. How do digital people live today? What does digital work mean for companies and their employees? What technologies and innovations are increasingly blurring or even dissolving the boundaries between reality and digitality? A number of inspiring speakers have been secured for the event, including experts from both the business world and the research community.
The IT Klub Mainz & Rheinhessen e.V. is planning its annual digital congress MADKON in a more interactive way than ever before. As a hybrid event, the audience will have the opportunity to follow the congress on site in the auditorium of Mainz University of Applied Sciences (Lucy-Hillebrand-Straße 2, 55116 Mainz) or online via live stream.
The participants will be offered in-depth insights into the current state of the art in the area of Digital Reality, including existing projects and their impact on societal change. This also includes giving stakeholders from society, politics, and business the opportunity to comment and thus possibly uncover interrelations or potential synergies for future projects.
