The “International Young Professionals Academy (IYPA)” prepares international students for a successful career start. There will be a new support offer from October 2024 for international students.
What is the IYPA?
The International Young Professionals Academy is an accompanying program that supports international degree-seeking students during their studies and helps them with their transition and entry into the job market.
The IYPA aims to advise international students on how to successfully complete their studies, prepare them for the German job market and help them establish contacts with companies via the university's broad network.
To ensure this, the IYPA offers a wide range of services that focus on three main areas:
- Study Success: study-related language courses (German B1-C1) and courses on academic writing/presenting as well as a peer-to-peer mentoring program support students individually.
- Labor Market Qualification: CV checks, application training, internship placements, and Bachelor or Master theses at companies prepare participants for their first practical experience and support them throughout the process.
- Cooperative Network: job placement via a specialized network of partners such as the Rheinhessen Chamber of Industry and Commerce, the Federal Employment Agency and various renowned regional companies. The IYPA also offers various network events such as company workshops, employer branding presentations, matching events with prestigious employers and career fairs throughout the academic year.
