During his visit, Arda Öcal participated in various events organized within the scope of the VTDK International Week. He held talks to strengthen the newly established partnership between our universities in various aspects and presented our University and the BaICE study program to the memebers of the Civil Engineerung Faculty. During his visit he also met with Dr. Deividas Navikas (Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering) and Dr. Marija Vaičienė (Head of the Department of Civil Engineering) to discuss civil engineering curricula, student exchanges, and future research opportunities. Both sides expressed their wishes for the realization of the exchange student program and cooperation in the near future.

BIM Forum, 2023

During the week-long activities, Arda Öcal visited the teaching and research laboratories, classrooms, libraries, and various environments used by students in civil engineering, technology, and design faculties. In addition to these activities, he participated in the conference "Technical Innovations 2023: Towards Europe's Green Road" and followed a forum on BIM, Digital Transformation in Civil Engineering. These activities enabled him to pursue recent studies in sustainable implementations of technological concepts in Europe. He has also had the opportunity to meet with researchers and representatives of industrial companies working on innovative materials and digitatilazition in civil engineering from around Europe. Other contributions of the VTDK international week were to follow the results of an Erasmus+ project carried out by the host university and its partners and to witness the project's benefits for the partners/students.

As a result of all these activities at VTDK, Arda Öcal came together with many colleagues and industry representatives. He aimed to contribute to our university's goals in the fields of internationalization and digitalization. Within the framework of our agreement with VTDK, we expect the initiation of student exchanges and the growth of cooperation between civil engineering departments.
