Information Day at AIGeo

At Information Day 2024, the degree programs in Applied Informatics and Geodesy (AIGeo) were presented.

On April 20, 2024, Mainz University of Applied Sciences once again threw open its doors and introduced itself to all interested individuals, especially potential students, with the slogan Discover your possibilities. Questions about all degree programs in Applied Informatics and Geodesy were answered in the lab. In the auditorium, current students offered insights into bridge surveying under the title Expiration date exceeded? Surveying Bridges Offers a Look at the Practical Side of the Degree Program.

In two sample lectures, prospective students were able to obtain a first impression of possible course content: Prof. Dr. Pascal Neis introduced various aspects of geoinformatics. Julian Stockemer provided a first look at the possibilities of interactively learning or teaching various computer graphics subjects as part of the degree program. He explained how Mainz University of Applied Sciences and Worms University of Applied Sciences developed openly accessible educational resources (OER) as part of a funding call and how their contents can be used.

An entire class of students from the Werner-von-Siemens School traveled from Wetzlar to gain first-hand insight into the modern facilities and labs at the university, as well as the content of the various degree programs.

We would like to thank everyone who visited us for their interest in our degree programs. Perhaps we will see one or two of you again as students?
