Now it’s your tOERn! was the kick-off message for the OER competition hOERsaal for students by the Competence Center for Innovation in Studies and Teaching. In this competition, students had the opportunity to visualize learning materials from their studies in graphic form and publish them as Open Educational Resources (OER) on the OpenEdu-RLP platform. A panel of professors and students from Mainz University of Applied Sciences then awarded prizes to the best submissions in the competition and presented them during the LERHimpuls 2022 event on November 10, 2022 in the LUX Pavilion.
Two civil engineering students, Johanna Meisser and Benedikt Jugel, won the 2022 hOERsaal Prize. Johanna Meisser provided a graphic answer to the question Can you print a house? Benedikt Jugel showed that you can play the game Rock-Paper-Scissors using matrix multiplication.
As the Civil Engineering Department, we warmly congratulate our two students on this great award!
