Stay healthy while you study!

The aim of the “Gesund studieren in Rheinland-Pfalz” (Stay Healthy While Studying in Rhineland-Palatinate) project is to provide students with measures to increase resilience and help them deal with stressful life events and burdens during their studies.

Clemens Hoch, Minister of Science and Health and Member of the State Parliament, outlined the goals of the Gesund studieren in Rheinland-Pfalz project to maintain the mental health of students, with a focus on the upcoming winter semester, at the workshop Resilienzförderung im Hochschulkontext (Promoting resilience in the university environment). Through the project, the Leibniz Institute for Resilience Research has the opportunity to provide measures to foster resilience in students and at the same time to research and identify which measures are particularly effective for the specific circumstances and needs of students.

During the workshop, there was an open and informative exchange on the current status of the project between Kate Utzschneider, Project Manager of Gesund studieren in Rheinland-PfalzProf. Dr. Klaus Lieb, Scientific Director of the Leibniz Institute for Resilience Research, Minister Clemens Hoch, and the university participants in attendance. With regard to the degree programs Applied Informatice and Geoinformatics and Surveying (bachelor's, master's) at Mainz University of Applied Sciences, Department Head Prof. Dr. Martin Schlüter, attended the workshop led by Meike Trommer to find out about options for the upcoming reaccreditation procedures at Mainz University of Applied Sciences' School of Engineering in the coming summer semester.
