Our master’s degree program in Auditing, which we have been successfully offering in cooperation with the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management since 2012, has been reaccredited by FIBAA and recognized in accordance with Section 8a of the German Public Accountant Act (WPO) without any conditions.
We are particularly pleased that the program has been awarded the FIBAA Premium Seal – a distinction that only a few programs in Germany receive. The Premium Seal is awarded as part of the FIBAA accreditation and certification process when a degree program demonstrates excellent quality in studies and teaching.
“I am delighted with the excellent result of the reaccreditation of the Master in Auditing degree program and would like to congratulate everyone involved. This award makes us proud and demonstrates the successful cooperation between Mainz University of Applied Sciences and Frankfurt School of Finance & Management,” emphasizes Prof. Dr. Susanne Weissman, President of Mainz University of Applied Sciences.
Prof. Dr. Karsten Lorenz, Degree Program Director of Mainz University of Applied Sciences, is also very pleased about the reaccreditation and the award: “The reaccreditation of the program without conditions and the awarding of the FIBAA Premium Seal is a tremendous success for everyone involved. We would like to thank everyone who supported us during the reaccreditation process. My special thanks go to Prof. Dr. Edgar Löw, who heads the degree program on behalf of Frankfurt School of Finance & Management, for the trust and cooperation and to the lecturers, whose dedication has ensured the very high quality of teaching on the degree program for many years.”
The Master in Auditing program trains employees of auditing firms as part of the AuditXcellene initiative. In line with the requirements of Section 8a of the WPO, the degree program, which is completed while working, is designed in such a way that students receive credit for three of the seven professional auditing examinations. The program prepares students specifically for the four remaining examinations.
