Cyber Security Management B.Sc.

New bachelor’s degree program at Mainz University of Applied Sciences starting in the 2025/2026 winter semester
 

Mainz University of Applied Sciences is introducing a new bachelor’s degree program in Cyber Security Management (B.Sc.) at the School of Business starting in the 2025/2026 winter semester. With this program, the university is responding to the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of cyber security and offering a forward-looking education that combines technology, management, and law.

Cybersecurity is one of the main challenges of our digitalized society. As dependence on digital infrastructures increases, so does the need to effectively protect these systems. This is precisely where the new degree program comes in: In addition to technical expertise, it also teaches sound knowledge in the fields of management, business administration, and law to prepare students to take on a responsible role in the field of IT security.

During their studies, the students will deal with topics such as secure software development, penetration testing, change management, and information security management. A high degree of practical work and an optional practical phase ensure a close connection with the professional world.

The program will initially be offered as a full-time degree program. A dual option is also planned starting in the 2026/27 winter semester. Students will graduate with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and will be able to pursue a variety of career paths at companies, public authorities, or organizations specializing in security.

Applications for the 2025/2026 winter semester can be submitted starting in mid-May 2025.
