Professor Dr. Markus Hehn visited our partner university Osaka Gakuin University (OGU) in Japan in October. He held several talks there on the further expansion and intensification of the partnership with, among others, the university's International Coordinator Daryl M. Arakaki as well as Midori Hatanaka and Tao Meng. Osaka is the second largest economic hub in Japan, which also offers an enormously high recreational quality thanks to its many interesting historical and cultural sites, as well as a vibrant metropolitan atmosphere. The port city of Kobe and the former Japanese capital of Kyoto are also in the immediate vicinity of Osaka. In all respects, OGU is an interesting destination for our students.
In Tokyo, Professor Hehn visited Sophia University and met with Professor Frank Rövekamp (Director of the East Asia Institute at Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences) and Franz Waldenberger, Director of the German Institute for Japanese Studies (DIJ), to discuss future activities in East Asia and Japan in particular.
