High school students get a taste of university life

On February 7, 2024, students in grades eleven and twelve at the Steinhöfel School visited the campus of Mainz University of Applied Sciences. Following the motto “Give us a try before you apply,” the students from the private business school were given their first glimpse of university teaching and the options for studying at the School of Business.

The morning began with general advice on studying and information on cooperative studies, where theoretical knowledge is combined with practical experience during the studies. The students then had the opportunity to find out more about their preferred degree programs and their career opportunities in two rounds of workshops. In addition to the extremely popular workshops, the students were also offered an opportunity to develop successful learning strategies by the Psychological Student Counselling service and a lecture on the topic of brands by Dean Prof. Dr. Jörn Redler. In his lecture, Professor Redler explained the importance of brand identity for corporate success.

Afterwards, the School of Business and the Steinhöfel School agreed that this event should be repeated next year.
