Are you interested in studying at the School of Business, or do you have questions about your degree program? The Academic Advisory team will be happy to help you. On the following pages, prospective and current students can find the most important information about degree programs at the School of Business.
Your concerns and what we offer you
During our office hours the team is available to help you with organizational questions, issuing certificates and minor concerns. Simply drop by during our personal office hours on campus or take advantage of our digital office hours on Zoom. You do not need to make an appointment in these cases.
For Student Advisory Services, our trained staff from the Academic Advisory Service are available for in-depth sessions - in person, by phone or online. The consultation times will be arranged on an individual basis in response to your request and may differ from our office hours.

Would you like to study, but you're not sure what exactly? On our overview page you can find more information about the degree programs offered by the School. Our Student Advisory Service will be happy to help you find the right degree program for you.
Are you looking to change universities and study at the School of Business? Or do you want to switch degree programs within the School of Business? We can advise you on credit recognition and transfer procedures.
Are you already studying at the School of Business? The Student Advisory Services can provide you with information and advice on specific academic requirements, semesters on leave or abroad, internships, prospective dropouts, last attempts and special situations (such as caring for relatives, pregnancy, etc.).
Credit recognition
Have you earned credits at a German or foreign university? Then you can apply for recognition of your academic and exam achievements at Mainz University of Applied Sciences. The Academic Advisory Services department will inform you about the recognition of credits, grading and grade conversion, transfer of failed attempts and much more.
Selecting modules
At the School of Business, modules are selected on a degree program-specific basis. This means that you can choose the day and time slot for selected modules. The module seclection applies to both required modules and elective modules. The Academic Advisory Services will inform you about specific course content (modules) and options within your degree program.
Internships
What, when, where, how? Whether it's a pre-university internship, an internship abroad or a required internship - the Academic Advisory Services will help you with your questions. The orientation week at the School of Business always takes place one week before the official start of classes. The event is mandatory and ensures a smooth start to your first semester. To give you a first impression, you can download a sample schedule of the first semester week for the bachelor's degree programs.
The School offers preparatory online courses for future students to make it easier for you to start your studies.
Online mathematics bridge classes
Would you like to pursue a bachelor's degree with us? Then you may need to provide proof of your English language skills. Or perhaps you would like to study for a master's degree? In that case, you will also need to provide proof of your English language proficiency. Which certificates are accepted? Is my high school English sufficient?
