Rosetta Stone
The library of Mainz University of Applied Sciences offers Rosetta Stone licenses to our students. Take advantage of our free online language courses offer until December 2026 and learn or improve one or more of the languages listed below.
Through pronunciation exercises, audio exercises, images, and text, you will practice speaking and understanding your choice of foreign language(s). You can take the classes both at home via your computer and on the go via the app.
Registration
Registration is only possible via the university email address. Please use this link.
Setting up the profile
After setting up the profile, you will be asked to complete a self-assessment with learning objectives (for all languages) and/or a placement test (for English, French, Spanish, and German only) to determine your proficiency level and ideal starting point in the program. The self-assessment asks how long the language has been studied, what skills need to be improved, and what subject areas are of interest. The placement test determines proficiency level based on demonstrated listening and reading skills.
If you are classified as a beginner, you will be placed in Foundations (A1-A2).
Advanced students are placed in Fluency Builder (B1-C1).
Learning Paths
