Scholarship agencies for gifted students
In Germany, 13 organisations for the promotion of gifted students are active nationwide. With the help of government grants, scholarships are awarded to students and doctoral candidates. The Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) funds university studies with various programs:
- Aufstiegsstipendium für Personen mit Berufserfahrung (only available in German)
- Weiterbildungsstipendium für beruflich Begabte (only available in German)
(only part-time degree programs which are based on vocational training or work experience)
The project KISSWIN.DE is the communication platform for young scientists. It provides information on career paths and funding in the German science sector and networking with other scientists. (also available in English)
FOSTERING OF TALENTED PROFESSIONALS
This is a new guideline issued by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) for the promotion of talented individuals during their university studies.
Professionally qualified persons who have demonstrated their particular talents in vocational training and in their occupation can apply for a scholarship to study at a university.
