Admission requirements
- Successful completion of a university degree in law, business law or economics. In exceptional cases, graduates with other university degrees may also be admitted. In this case, corresponding legal and other prior knowledge must be proven by relevant examinations or relevant professional experience. This proof is also deemed to have been provided, for example, if a graduate also fulfils the requirements of Section 36 (2) of the Tax Consultancy Act. The examination board decides on admission.
- In accordance with Section 35 (1) of the Rhineland-Palatinate Higher Education Act, you can also participate in continuing education programmes if you have acquired the required aptitude in your profession or in another way.
- Proof of relevant professional experience of at least 6 months as a rule. Proof of relevant professional experience should be provided in the form of employment contracts, certificates or attestations from the employer.
- Cooperation agreement between your employer and Mainz University of Applied Sciences, in which the required leave of absence is regulated (joint declaration)
You must provide proof of your English language skills through
- TOEFL iBT score 79 (as of 2008)
- TOEIC 750 points
- ILEC (Level B2)
- the acquisition of at least 30 ECTS points from economics courses that are taught and examined entirely in English and in which the last examinations were taken within the last two years.
Only the above-mentioned tests are possible as proof of English proficiency.
The test result must be submitted no later than two months after the start of lectures. If the proof is not submitted on time, enrolment for the next semester will be refused. The validity of language tests is limited to two years from the date of issue.
Adequate stays abroad can replace language tests, whereby the equivalence is to be decided on a case-by-case basis.
