Aline Bassler

HR Office – First Apprenticeships and HR Marketing, Ernst Klett Verlag GmbH

With her high school diploma under her belt, Aline Baßler decided to pursue dual vocational and university studies in business administration at the DHBW Karlsruhe in cooperation with Volksbank Achern eG. She subsequently gained six months of professional experience at the company where she trained. Even then, she discovered her passion for human resources. The reason for her decision to begin her studies at Mainz University of Applied Sciences was the broad focus of the degree program, with the opportunity to specialize in human resources in the third semester. To deepen her intercultural understanding, she spent a semester abroad at Swinburne University in Melbourne. In addition to focusing on human resources in her studies, she completed internships at Hodapp GmbH in Achern-Großweier with a focus on the development of junior staff and at Daimler AG in Stuttgart in employer branding. She then wrote her master's thesis in the field of leadership development in collaboration with Daimler AG.

After completing her master's degree, Ms. Baßler joined Ernst Klett Verlag GmbH in Stuttgart. She currently works as an HR Officer for First Apprenticeships and HR Marketing. Her responsibilities include the strategic planning and implementation of HR marketing measures, as well as the supervision of first-time apprenticeships and junior staff. As part of this, she supports employees in all HR matters.

The degree program focuses on practical relevance. Various problems are presented using real-world examples and worked on as a team. This enables students to develop not only their professional expertise, but also their personal skills as well, which Aline Baßler feels optimally prepares her for her professional career.
