Admission requirements
- A degree with a Diplom or Bachelor's degree from a university, a university of applied sciences or an equivalent higher education institution in Germany or an equivalent final examination abroad in business law or a similar degree programme with at least 210 ECTS credits.
- Applicants must prove that they have completed the aforementioned degree programme with an average grade of no less than 2.5 or ECTS grade C. Applicants with the first state examination in law must prove that they have completed their first degree programme with at least a satisfactory grade. If the previous degree programme comprises fewer than 210 ECTS credits, but at least 180 ECTS credits, you must make up the missing 30 ECTS credits within a bridging course or as part of the Master's degree programme by the time you register for the Master's thesis.
Applicants must prove their aptitude and motivation through an interview if the programme director deems this necessary.
Applicants must prove that they have a good command of the English language. Proof must be provided in one of the following forms:
- TOEFL iBT score 79 (as of 2008)
- TOEIC 750 points
- ILEC (Level B2)
- the acquisition of at least 30 ECTS from business and economics courses that are taught and examined entirely in English and for which the last examinations were taken within the last two years.
- IELTS (Level B2)
The test result must be submitted no later than two months after the start of lectures. If proof is not submitted by the deadline, enrolment in the following semester will be refused.
The validity of language tests is limited to two years from the date of issue. Adequate stays abroad can replace language tests, whereby equivalence must be decided on a case-by-case basis.
