Admission requirements
- University entrance qualification according to § 65 Higher Education Act. You can provide proof of this by
- general higher education entrance qualification
- subject-specific higher education entrance qualification
- entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences
- University entrance qualification for professionally qualified persons
- The following can be admitted to the degree programme
- Trainees training to become an IT specialist, IT systems clerk, IT clerk or in a similar profession or
- Applicants who have already completed an apprenticeship as an IT specialist, IT systems clerk, IT clerk or in a similar profession or
- Applicants who are in a degree programme-related employment relationship and wish to gain further qualifications or
- Applicants who are completing a programme-related internship of at least 30 weeks (4 working days per week) in the 1st year of study
Admission to the degree programme requires a valid cooperation agreement concluded between the student's employer and Mainz University of Applied Sciences (training-integrated/job-integrated or practice-integrated in the case of an internship) as well as confirmation of the employment/training relationship or internship. Please note
- Persons who have completed the school-based part of the entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences can take part in the application and admission procedure for this dual study programme if they are completing an apprenticeship.
- Proof of English language skills (not an admission requirement for the 1st and 2nd semesters).
