People Analytics
5th semester // Option

Data literacy – the ability to handle, interpret, and use data – is an increasingly important business skill. In this class, students develop data literacy skills based on practical cases in the area of people management. They gain an overview of HR functions and tasks that produce and use data (such as workforce planning, employee engagement surveys), work in teams to solve practical HR analytics cases, and present their findings in class. We also discuss and reflect on ethical and legal aspects of collecting and working with people data.

Project Study in Human Resources Management
5th semester // Option

Building on the lectures on HR management in the respective bachelor's degree programs, students work in small groups on the latest topics from the corporate HR practice. Based on a literature analysis, they research relevant studies in the field of HR management, incorporate entrepreneurial concepts, add quantitative or qualitative research methods and develop presentations in their teams that combine theory and practice. The results are discussed constructively and critically with all fellow students.

Social Interaction
5th semester // mandatory elective as part of the Studium Integrale

Students plan a series of soft skills workshops for an external target group (such as trainees, employees, young managers) at companies, associations, etc. and conduct them on site.

In the job market, qualifications such as the ability to work in a team or deal constructively with communication conflicts are crucial key skills. In this course, students learn the basics of social interaction, expand on them with practical exercises and find out how they can promote and profitably use their social skills in the long term.
