HR Campus Team
As the Human Resource Management Department,
we combine teaching, research and business practices for sustainable HR management
As part of the digital transformation, companies are increasingly and systematically introducing digital platforms and tools for collaboration. Based on the need of a company in the chemical industry to monitor the implementation success of such a digital transformation process, we developed a research-based concept as a check-up. This maps individual and organizational influencing factors for functioning digital collaboration and the digital skills this requires.

Based on the latest research on internal corporate social responsibility (CSR), an integrative, sustainable HRM concept is being developed to promote social and ecological behavior at companies. The organizational and individual levels are included in the process to increase the company’s social and ecological contribution. Labor law is also taken into account: The possibilities under individual employment law to assume social and ecological responsibility are being examined. In addition, our focus is on increasing sustainable behavior by mobilizing employee representatives.

We generate sound and practical knowledge for managers and HR departments
To achieve this, we work closely with small, medium-sized, and large companies, as well as non-profit organizations. Using employee surveys, project support, case studies, and experiments, we create new knowledge at the crossroads of research and practice to help shape innovations and change processes. The focus is on the motivation, skills, performance, and health of managers and employees.
We focus on an economically, socially, and ecologically sustainable future for companies, society, and the environment
We address current trends and developments such as digitalization, diversity, new work, and sustainability, and examine applications and impacts in HR work. Our research is geared towards a future of work that promotes the economically, socially, and ecologically sustainable development of companies and society on planet Earth.
We teach scientific knowledge and skills in our teaching
Our teaching is based on the latest scientific findings. We foster interest in and skills for evidence-based HR management. In our courses, theses and doctoral projects in cooperation with universities, we nurture the scientific skills of students and young researchers.
We make our research visible and exchange ideas with the scientific community, the business world, and society
We make our research findings accessible to the public through events and publications. At our regular HR Campus Talk and HR Forum events, we discuss the latest findings with interested individuals from the worlds of research, business, and society. In addition, we publish our research in specialized books, scientific and practice-oriented journals, and conferences, as well as on television and online media.
