Application via uni-assist
If you have obtained your university degree abroad, you must check to what extent it is equivalent to the German higher education entrance qualification for a master's degree program. Please apply via uni-assist. The nationality of the applicants is irrelevant.
If your foreign higher education entrance qualification is recognized as equivalent to the German one and sufficient German language skills are proven, you will be admitted to the study place allocation procedure. German citizens with a foreign university degree do not have to provide proof of German language proficiency if they have a German university entrance qualification (A-Level).
- You have already obtained recognition of your foreign university degree in Germany with a stated grade point average.
- You would like to apply to the consecutive master's degree program International Business (M.A. IB full-time) and have obtained your first university degree qualifying for a profession in a country belonging to the EU.
- You would like to apply to the continuing education master's degree programs International Business (M.Sc. IB) and/or Taxation.
- Chronological, signed curriculum vitae with no missing periods of time
- Copy of the deposit slip for the fee paid to uni-assist
- Residence permit (for applicants from non-EU member states)
- Copy of identity card
- Declaration of previous study periods at home and abroad (see under download)
- Proof of German language skills
- Certificate of exmatriculation for all degree programs in which you were previously enrolled. If you are still enrolled by the closing date for applications, you can submit them upon enrollment, but no later than 15 October for the winter semester and 30 March for the winter semester
- Clearance certificate (in German)
- Clearance certificate for all studies at foreign universities after completing your first undergraduate degree (in English)
- Proof of achievement / grade point average with indication of the ECTS credits, grade, number of attempts including the failed achievements with indication of the provisional grade point average of your achievements to date.

Level C1 is required for the applicatioin and verified by
- German language examination for university entrance at least level 2 (DSH-2)

The degree must have been earned with at least ECTS grade C. If no ECTS grade is shown, the grade point average must not be less than 2.7 (German grading system).

- A bachelor's degree in Building and Property Management, Facility Management or Technical Property Management or a bachelor's degree, an Engineering Diploma from a university of applied sciences or an Engineering Diploma from related fields. Your grade point average must not be less than 2.7 (German grading system). The degree program director decides on the admission of students with a degree from related degree programs.
- Interior architecture graduates (Bachelor's degree, Engineering Diploma from a university of applied sciences or Engineering Diploma) must provide proof of at least three years of construction site-related or practical activities related to construction and property management, facility management or technical facility management.
- In addition to a degree in engineering, you must also prove your knowledge of mathematics. You may have acquired this knowledge during your previous studies or as part of a separate certificate of achievement. The proof must be submitted by the end of the first master's semester. A mathematics bridge course will be offered.

- As part of the assessment test for admission to the consecutive master's degree program, you are required to state your specific reasons for your choice of degree program and university location in writing (letter of motivation).

- Certificate of a qualified bachelor's degree or a diploma from a university or university of applied sciences, or a degree recognized as equivalent by the examination board in a degree program which, according to the examination board, provides evidence of a sufficient basis for the master's program.
- In principle, the following university degrees are recognized, as far as IT-technical knowledge is proven:
civil engineering, architecture, information technology, geography, geology, regional planning, agriculture, forestry, environmental protection and mathematics
- In the absence of evidence of IT knowledge and in the case of graduates of other degree programs, the examination board examines the basis, in particular the presence of IT knowledge, on a case-by-case basis.
- Proof of work experience by means of a letter of reference (submission of the employment contract is not sufficient) of at least one year's duration after the first degree.

- A letter of motivation stating the reasons for your wish to study, with a maximum of 3,000 characters, detailing your previous skill development and evidenced by the following qualified documents:
- Projects and areas of responsibility
- Proof of examination results achieved within the framework of further training measures
- Letters of reference or proof of all relevant practical activities. The certificates, attestations and other supporting documents must be submitted in the form of officially certified copies.
- Certificate of recognition of the foreign vocational qualification from the Karlsruhe Chamber of Skilled Crafts (www.hwk-karlsruhe.de) or the IHK FOSA (www.ihk-fosa.de) (vocational qualification: qualified result of at least 2.5 or better)
- Proof of at least two years' work experience or a comparable activity, following the successful completion of vocational training with a qualified result to acquire higher education entrance qualification

- A certificate of a university degree or equivalent after successfully completing studies in the fields of building and property management, facility management, industrial engineering (construction), civil engineering or architecture or a degree recognized as equivalent from a foreign university with at least 210 ECTS credits.
- Graduates of degree programs with less than 210 ECTS credits but at least 180 ECTS credits can also apply. The proof of all missing ECTS credits must be provided by the end of the third semester. Here we recommend contacting the student advisory service.
- Interior architecture (Bachelor, Engineering Diploma (university of applied sciences) or Engineering Diploma): proof of at least one year of practical work on a construction site or related to building and property management and facility management.
- Proof of at least one year of practical work experience in the profession after completion of the previous degree program.
- In addition to a degree in engineering, knowledge of mathematics must be proven. This knowledge may have been acquired during previous studies or as part of a separate qualification. The proof must be submitted by the end of the first master's semester. A mathematics bridge course will be offered.
