School of Business M.A. general admission requirements

The basic requirement for admission is a successfully completed university degree.
If you have not completed your studies by the closing date for applications, you must submit proof of your academic achievement in a timely manner. Depending on the semester applied for, proof of the individual achievements of the transferring university may not be issued before 15 May for the winter semester or 15 November for the summer semester. You must prove that you have earned all the ECTS credits required for the first university degree qualifying for a profession, up to a maximum of 30 ECTS, by the time the application deadline expires.

Please note: The ECTS credits and academic and examination achievements still missing must be completed within the first university degree. Only the proof of completed first university studies can be submitted by the end of the first master semester.

Applying with vocational qualifications

According to Section 35 Paragraph 1 of the Rhineland-Palatinate Higher Education Act, you can also participate in further education courses if you have acquired the necessary aptitude in your profession or in another way. In this case, the admission requirements are as follows:
  1. You must have a higher education entrance qualification.
  2. You must be or have been employed in an occupation that is sufficiently related to the content of the chosen degree program.
  3. You must have worked in this occupation for at least three years.
  4. You must have successfully passed an aptitude test, which is to be carried out by the university. The aim of the aptitude test is to determine the equivalence of the professional qualification with that of a completed undergraduate degree program.
Please note: In the context of the online application, mandatory information about the previous study period will be requested. The introductory text to these tests contains instructions for candidates without a prior degree to complete the tests.
